Welcome to the Rotary Club of Drummoyne

About Rotary

Rotary is where people unite to exchange ideas and take action to create lasting change in our communities.  With over 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs around the globe, joining Rotary magnifies each members' contribution. Together we can make a difference.

Each year, Rotary members invest many volunteer hours in projects, and fund-raising to support, improve and sustain health, peace and prosperity in communities across the globe.  In recent times, our club has undertaken projects to help farmers in drought, communities ravaged by fires and provide vulnerable people with food supplies during the Covid epidemic.
President's Welcome
Welcome to Drummoyne Rotary! A proud Rotary club now 72 years old.

In the past this club had members from the heads of industry: Dunlop, Carpet Manufactures, BHP, Nestles - as all these industries operated in Drummoyne and Chiswick.

We meet weekly on Wednesdays at the Drummoyne Sailing Club: 2 St Georges Cres, Drummoyne at 6:15 for 6:30pm.

Let's Talk Art is our popular art forum the first Wednesday of each month. The second Wednesday we have a guest speaker. The third the club meets at a local restaurant.

As your local Rotary Club we have supported Drummoyne Community Centre, Communities For Communities, Drummoyne Public School, Addi Road, Sydney Food Share. We have direct connections with youth programs, science programs and youth leader training.
Internationally we provide funds for sanitary pads for school girls in Kibera, Kenya for health and education.

If you're interested in community, meeting like-minded people and great conversation please join us any Wednesday night at the Sailing Club.

Project Highlights

In January, fires ripped through the South Coast leaving many homeless.  Drummoyne Rotary reached out and through our partner club in Meriimbula, secured this caracvan for use on site until rebuilding was possible.

Music has been an important part of leading an ordinary life for students at the Music School for Children With Disabilities in Honor of Paul Harris in Lublin, Poland. Founded by Rotary members, the school serves 20 students with various disabilities, including Down syndrome, autism, and visual impairments. The Rotary Club of Lublin-Centrum-Maria Curie-Sklodowska has provided funding with help from Rotary Foundation Matching Grants and the Henryk Wieniawski Musical Society, which houses the school.

After their son Mateusz was born with underdeveloped eyes, Mariusz and Joanna Kania looked for ways to help him be active. When he showed an aptitude for music, they looked for a teacher and were thrilled to find the Paul Harris music school.
For years, Angalia Bianca had slept in abandoned buildings throughout Chicago. She stole. She did drugs. She spent time in and out of jail for forgery, theft, trespassing, and possession of narcotics. But after she landed in prison for the seventh time, something changed -- Bianca knew she wanted a better life. She just didn’t know how to make it happen.

After serving her time, Bianca sought help from a local homeless organization, A Safe Haven, and moved to its shelter in the Rogers Park neighborhood. Bianca followed the program closely -- she attended all the required meetings, passed drug tests, and volunteered at every opportunity.
